Basement conversions
Kuritol Preservation are approved Contractors for John Newton & Co. Ltd who design the Newton System 500 range of products designed to waterproof existing structures or be incorporated in new build projects, in line with BS8102:1990.

Any structures that are either partly earth-retaining or completely below ground level are prone to hydrostatic pressure, and as such require waterproofing.  Changes in climatic conditions, rising water tables and periods of high rainfall have increased the incidence of flooding throughout the UK.

The cavity drain membranes used in Newton System 500 allow any water to be controlled and diverted away from the structure.  When walls and floors are treated, a completely dry, habitable space is created.  System 500 is also ideal for vaulted ceilings, where any water above the structure is diverted to floor level and away from the struture via a drainage conduit or floor membrane.  The Internal finish can be either dry-lining on to the fixed batons or plastering direct to the membrane.

Pumps and drainage
The quality and effectiveness of John Newton membrane products is complemented by a range of proven drainage products and accessories.  These range from flooring membranes and drainage channels, to sump and pump products to control and remove water below ground.

Kuritol work successfully with Architects, Engineers and Developers to form new basement areas in new and existing properties.  10 year Guarantees are offered and can be fully backed by the CGS (Construction Guarantee Services Ltd).
